The Association for Academic Minority Physicians, Inc. (AAMP)

The primary mission of AAMP is to help increase the number of people currently underrepresented in biomedical research, academic medicine and ultimately health care delivery and leadership. The AAMP membership offers advice and mentorship to students, trainees and junior faculty. AAMP also sponsors an annual scientific meeting especially designed to allow young investigators to present their research in a supportive milieu.

 

Membership is available to those holding a terminal degree and a current academic faculty appointment.
